I have written several times about the need for all leaders to have someone to lean on every once in awhile. In our small groups system at Cross Point, we called them coaches. Coaches are simply there to check in occasionally on leaders, and be a sounding board for any issues that might come up with their groups.
Having a coach is not only essential for small group leaders, but especially for small group pastors and point people. We can spend so much time and effort pouring into others that we neglect having someone to help refill our tanks. If that is you, I would love to be that sounding board. It could just be a single phone call where you need to bounce a few ideas, or a monthly check-in.
