We kicked off a new series yesterday at Cross Point called, The 5 Lies That We Believe. I am excited about this series, because what stops most people from doing amazing things for God are the lies that Satan tells us. In John 8:44, Jesus says:
“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
The first lie that Pete talked about was the lie that I can’t make a difference. We believe that to make a diference in the world, we have to wait for an audience or be asked first. Neither one of those are true. It is time for us to step up and make our voice be heard.
This week, we are partnering with the End It Movement to make our voice heard on ending human trafficking and slavery. Here are some unbelievable facts about slavery:
I believe that it is sin if we just stand by and let this happen in our backyards. I can almost guarantee you that wherever you are right now, slavery is happening somewhere around you. It’s not just dark alleyways in a 3rd world country.
